The Summer 2010 Movie List
I have a strong strange feeling that this list should be somewhat longer, but oh well, this will have to do.
I dislike writing reviews on account of redundancy so …
- Dead Poets Society: No.
- Seven Pounds: Not really. Well, maybe.
- Slumdog Millionaire: Probably.
- (500) days of Summer: Yeah, kinda.
- Across the Universe: Perhaps until I know the Beatles better.
- The Fast and the Furious: No!
- Fast & Furious: No!
- Pan’s Labyrinth: No. Yes. (Maybe not sometime soon?)
- Six Degrees of Separation: Probably.
- The Dark Knight: A little.
- The Matrix Reloaded: No!
- The Matrix Revolutions: No!
- How to Train a Dragon: A little?
- Iron Man 2: Nah.
- Prince of Persia: Yeah.
- Shutter Island: I think so.
- Knight and Day: No. (Well, not really)
- Inception: No! (Not. At. All!)
… this answers whether or not I’d be reluctant to watch these again. (A better expression of a movie’s worth, if you ask me. I wonder why no one does ask me…)
PS. My cellphone woes are still not over, can you believe that?

Why 'a little' for The Dark Knight? The other Batman movies were pretty awful in comparison. And I sorta found Knight and Day a one-time watch too. Wouldn't be funny all over again.
I agree about the others, at least the ones I've seen. Especially the Matrix series :D
Yeah, it was definitely better than the other Batman movies but somehow ... I dunno, I'm not much of a fan of Christian Bale as Batman frankly. =P
I probably won't want to watch Knight and Day soon either :P The thing with me about watching movies in halls is that they generally seem much better: the cinematography and sound generally makes up for a not-so-great story.
I love the Matrix series :D
Did you finally get around to seeing Inception?
So. Is it whether you'd be reluctant or not? You can only answer one of them. Also, die. This list was annoying.
Arrey?
» "Whether or not I'd be reluctant to watch Matrix Reloaded again. No! (I would not)."
Also, why was this list annoying?
!!!
You deleted my comment haha. Come on Sahil Bajaj, just because you don't know who I am doesn't mean I need to be censored?
@Anon: What're you talking about? I haven't deleted anything! There was an anonymous comment on my previous post, which is still there, and there is this one on this post. I did delete some Brazilian spammer's comment a couple of months back. I didn't get any notification in my email for any comments that aren't here. Perhaps it didn't get posted?
I don't much like the idea of Christian Bale as Batman either. He's too...un-Batman-y. I really don't know how else to describe it.
And Matrix series FTW! =D
6 & 7 are different? And wow, you watched a lot of movies this summer, and not a single Hindi one. =p And what cellphone woes could you still possibly be facing? :o
@Mini: Haina?! You're the first person to agree with me on that though :P
Have you seen The Prestige? He's more appropriate for that kind of role, if you ask me.
Wow, so many Matrix fans :D
@Nidhi: Haha yes they are different. The former is the first of the series and the latter is the fourth. Perhaps they deliberately wanted to confuse us ...
And yeah, I noticed the lack of Hindi movies too. But come on, there actually haven't been any good Hindi movies out recently (with the exception of Rajneeti, if people are to be believed :P).
Apparently this ass of a new cellphone of mine cannot store even a hundred SMSes. Sheesh.
I've seen the Prestige in bits and pieces. I wanna see it again, as a whole. But yeah, nice movie, however much I've seen of it. And yes, he fit that role to the tee. =D
dude dead poets' soceity. FTW. (reference to o captain my captain)
also, dark knight. watch it again and again and again.
@thegirlwithoneheart: Oh, you should see it! From beginning to end though, because it's very non-linear. Directed by the same director as Inception and The Dark Knight.
@aman: I think I should watch dark knight again. Everyone's been telling me to. And thanks for visiting :)
Christopher Nolan! Alright then, will make it a point to watch it.
Haha maybe it didn't.
Bah. So would you mind shedding your cloak of anonymity or am I doomed to eternal ignorance? :P
Damn. I finally thought I met someone who didn't think Inception was as great as everyone makes it seem.
And C'mon. Dark Knight, you hesitate?
I judge you for 16 and 17, even though I haven't seen either but heard way too much.
Haha well. I liked Inception quite a bit. And I saw it before the hype started :)
DO see Shutter Island and tell me what you think! I think I'm only one of three people who disliked it (the other two being the ones who saw it with me =P)
I fell asleep while watching Dark Knight :O
No kidding.
And a High Five to you!
