Tears of the Dragon
For too long now,
There were secrets in my mind
For too long now,
There were things I should have said;
In the darkness,
I was stumbling for the door
To find a reason,
To find the time, the place, the hourWaiting for the winter sun
And the cold light of day
The misty ghosts of childhood fears,
The pressure is building
And I can’t stay away;I throw myself into the sea
Release the wave,
Let it wash over me
To face the fear
I once believed
The tears of the dragon
For you and for meWhere I was,
I had wings that couldn’t fly
Where I was,
I had tears I couldn’t cry
My emotions
Frozen in an icy lake
I couldn’t feel them,
Until the ice began to breakI have no power over this
You know I’m afraid;
The walls I built are crumbling
The water is moving
I’m slipping away</em>I throw myself into the sea
Release the wave,
Let it wash over me
To face the fear
I once believed
The tears of the dragon
For you and for meSlowly I awake,
Slowly I rise,
The walls I built are crumbling
The water is moving
I’m slipping away</em>I throw myself into the sea
Release the wave,
Let it wash over me
To face the fear
I once believed
The tears of the dragon
For you and for me.—Bruce Dickinson, Tears of the Dragon

I decided to listn to the song!
Experimentin with new styles? :P Good stuff
It's a really nice song =)
Haha kinda. I have done a similar kind of post, but that was quite some time earlier :P
A little too dark a song for me, I like it nonetheless. :)
Im gonna listen to the song, seems kinda nice! :P
@Disguise: Well, it lightens up towards the end :) You've heard it? But I forget, you did say that you listen to this genre =)
@Sonshu: Haha yes, though I warn you, you may not like it =P What kind of music do you listen to otherwise?
You have new followers, all through my blog.
:D
You must love me now.
Hello. I heard this song. The beginning is too much like a Creed song.
I didn't comment earlier because I thought it's a poem and didn't bother reading it. :P
But that photo. Awesomeness. :D
Yeah it's like 'With Arms Wide Open' by Creed.
Hear it if you haven't heard it already. I love Creed. :D
Noooooo. This is wayy better than With Arms Wide Open! =P *mutters darkly*
Pffft.
Also, I absolutely love the photo. I wish I could get a print from somewhere! Check that guy's flickr, ALL his shots are awesome :O
Aren't Creed sort of less violent? And more well-I'm-sad-but-oh-wth-at-least-I'm-emotionally-stable-not-destroying-everything-in-reach-with-the-power-of-unrestrained-rage?
Okay, I suck at being a music critic.
@Disguise: Oh, I'm overflowing with gratitude :P
@1plus1equals10: I normally avoid getting into music-related discussions :P
I don't know what you mean by "less violent" though. Less violent than what? Bruce Dickinson? Iron Maiden? Neither of those are in the "destroying-everything-in-reach-with-the-power-of-unrestrained-rage" - I normally leave that to the death-metal bands. [Though don't take my word for it, since I don't actually listen to any]
This song btw, is in the ballad category :)
Oh shuttup. Creed is better. And anyway, whether you like it or not has nothing to do with the fact that the beginning of both songs are similar.
I'd say this Bruce guy has ripped off his song's music from there. ;)
Nahi toh. Also, no it's probably the other way round coz Tears of the Dragon is like 6 years older =P
Beautiful lyrics.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
You're welcome! Thanks for visiting =)
Oh shit. You're right.
Still. I like Creed better. :D
Hmmmmm....
I loved the lyrics and as i said went on to listen to it!
And it wasnt bad at all though its a little dark and all that. :)
Btw, to your question i listen to all types i just love music! :) [Well mainly pop, hip hop, rock, metal [little], country, jazz, RnB! :)]
O.O, I found it dark...dark...really dark.....
I've dug up a load of my type of bands recently heeh, surprisingly from a girl who listens to my type of music, I know I'm being stereotypical and all but you don't really find to many girls who listen to heavy metal.
Manipal has a Huuuuuuge Heavy Metal culture by the way...
I'll make you listen to them when I get back (mweheheh)
Well, that's true actually, the greater part don't listen to metal.
I know, you told me, remember? :P
TOH PHIR JALDI AA NAAA!
This is Bruce at his best:P
The song is deep 'shit'
\m/
You're QUITE the genius!
:D
and I love the blog name and tagline!
You'll be hearing from me a lot more!
:)
Except that's a song! I've heard it somewhere.
I just realised.
Oh hey! =D
Now I'm going to have to burst all those bubbles :(
=P
Yes, it's a song by Bruce Dickinson. [I said so in the post!]
The tagline's from The Lord of the Rings.
The blog name is, however, fairly original [whew!]
:)
Love the picture the most :)
It's brilliant, isn't it! Have you heard the orchestral version of Tears of the Dragon? It's even better!
@Hey: It's really good, isn't it? Check out the rest of this guy's photography, he's brilliant :)
@the former sporadicblogger: Yes, I have!
PS. Why "former"? :P
