Nah, I don't think you're supposed to thank people for liking photos/statuses (or retweeting). Initially, it was the norm but with more people signing on it's just not feasible. People don't like 'X left a comment on X's status' just to see it's a thank you message come up as a notification.

I usually end up doing it most of the time. It feels slightly awkward, though: “@X, Y, Z, P, Q, R: Thanks! =)” =P

No, you don't normally thank people. But there should be an option where you can like their likes. Then they'll like it back. Then it'll become a circle of liking and liking the liking and liking the liking which liked the original liking.

Sometimes I feel like hitting people who like what they've written themselves. You can do it occasionally, because maybe you REALLY like what you've written, but liking everything you're saying or doing? WTF, really.
PS - I really like how the blogroll orders blogs according to the posting of the last post. Very clever.
PPS - You and your sister need to leave humbugs alone, really. You need to give them some privacy so they can breed and we can have more humbugs. You know what I mean? :P
